About the Empire
By virtue of theMontevideo Convention (1933), the Empire of Emptiness meets the criteria of a sovereign state. It has a permanent population made up of engaged citizens (named citizens of the Empire of Emptiness or "Empties"), a defined territory that includes all immaterial and empty space, and a government that guarantees the equality and freedom of its citizens. Furthermore, the Empire is capable of interacting diplomatically with other entities, asserting its legitimacy as a micronation fully compliant with international law.
The Imperial Couple
Martin GOYARD 1er, L'Empereur fondateur de la Nation. Il n'est ni un dictateur, ni un tyran, et doit être considéré comme l'égal de ses citoyens. Sa position au sein de l'Empire fait de lui son porte parole en cas d'évènement Diplomatique. Il partage ses fonctions aux côtés de l'Impératrice Shannon Farcy Gleeson, dit "Shasha L'Impératrice".
They have the responsibility to develop the Empire and to ensure its longevity over time.

The Banner of the Empire of Emptiness
The Infinite
- It embodies the limitless territory of the Empire, extending beyond the boundaries of the material and the visible. The symbol of infinity also evokes the eternal and ever-evolving nature of emptiness, where every moment and every space can be redefined by its citizens.
The Wings
- They symbolise the Empire itself. The wings are also a reminder of the absolute freedom that the Empire guarantees to its citizens: the freedom to fill or to respect the void, according to their choice.
The Star
- It embodies Space and, more specifically, the Big Bang: this foundational event that gave rise not only to the material universe but also, in the same breath, to the vast expanses of emptiness.
The Border Collie - National Animal of the Empire
The Border Collie has been chosen as the national animal of the Empire of Emptiness to embody the unique values and spirit of our Nation. There could not have been a more meaningless choice than to take an animal with the word Border in its name, for an Empire that aims to be limitless!
In addition to its fur in the colours of the Empire, it is recognised for its exceptional intelligence, its ability to work with diligence while maintaining a great freedom of action. This perfectly illustrates the principle of Organised Anarchy that structures the Empire.
Furthermore, the Border Collie is a shepherd dog, guardian and organiser of the empty spaces between the flocks. This symbolism aligns with the mission of the Empire: to manage and preserve the immaterial spaces with care and respect.
